WWDH - Pear and Almond Galettes

For Wednesday with Donna Hay this week, Peggy chose Donna's Pear and Almond Galettes from Off the Shelf.

These galettes are as simple can be - cut a square of ready rolled puff pastry into four, sprinkle with almond meal, top with thinly sliced pear, and bake.  Eat while warm to get the best of it.

The galettes were not received that well at work, perhaps because they weren't fancy.  However, if you are looking for a quick, simple dessert to make at home, one of these galettes served warm with icecream would not be a bad treat.

To see what the others thought, visit the LYL section of the WWDH website.

Oh sorry your workmates did not care for these. We loved them. Mine were a tad soggy the next day though still edible.
