Stir Fryday at Queen Victoria Market

Last Friday night, Tim and I attended Stir Fryday at Queen Victoria Market.  This is an Asian street food market which is on every Friday until 27 November at the Queen Vic market.  If the crowd during the first week is anything to go by, it will be very popular:

Tim and I decided to buy from the Gorilla Grill food truck:

which claims to be where the American kitchen meets the streets of Asia:

We both went for the pork tacos ($10):

and then Tim shouted a serve of kimchi fries ($9) to share:

We loved both dishes - they were winners, as we love South East Asian inspired flavours.

Afterwards, we wandered over to Emporium where we indulged in coffee and salted caramel cheesecake at Jones the Grocer:

It was a lovely, balmy evening with delicious food.  What more could you want?

I love those types of evenings when you're just meant to be eating outdoors! I've also got a bit of an obsession with kimchi too! :D

This sounds like a great way to end the week and kick start the weekend. You're obviously into spring weather too - it is currently dark here by 6pm so evening markets would be tricky ;)

Oh I love Stir Fryday at Queen Victoria Market...too bad I am too far away to give it a go! The food photos look really wonderful, I would dive into each of those. :-)
